| Ceiling Medallions Installation ››

Before
Installing:
|
|
|
Pre-finish
All medallions
are factory-primed. Mount as is, or paint as desired prior
to installing. |
|
|
CAUTION!
Ensure power at
circuit breaker box is turned OFF. |
|
|
Calculate
depth of medallion
(A longer running thread nipple may be required.)
|
|
|
Determine best
alignment of medallion design with the room.
If mounting to studs/joists, locate and mark. |
|
Installing
Medallions with a 3-1/2”- 4-3/4” Center Hole:
|
|
A.
|
Apply a bead
of construction adhesive approximately 1” inside medallion
circumference. Raise medallion to ceiling, centering over
electrical box. |
|
B.
|
Secure with
finishing nails or screws near outer edge of medallion,
angling fasteners. Anchor large or heavy medallions into
ceiling joists. Spackle or caulk finishing nails or screws.
If desired, caulk outer seam for a smoother look.

C.
|
Mount lighting
fixture or fan according to manufacturer’s instructions.

|
Installing
Medallions with a 7/8”- 1-1/4” Center Hole:
|
|
A.
|
Install
necessary wiring, brackets and thread nipple according to
instructions. |
|
B.
|
Slip fixture
wiring through center of medallion and raise to the ceiling. |
|
C.
|
Secure with
finishing nails or screws near outer edge of medallion,
angling fasteners. Anchor large or heavy medallions into
ceiling joists. (NOTE: adhesive is not recommended to ensure
easy access to electrical box later.) Spackle or caulk
finishing nails or screws. If desired, caulk outer seam for
a smoother look. |

instructions to complete installation.
